About
Aidar Health is a digital medicine company reimagining today’s standards for health monitoring, chronic care management, and clinical trial - our hand-held, wireless rapid health assessment and monitoring device, MouthLab, measures more than 10 vital medical parameters such as temperature, blood pressure, respiratory rate, respiratory flow cycle morphology (RFM), pulse rate, ECG, SpO2, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV) and spirometric lung functions (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC, PEF) in just 30 seconds. Sensor data is sent in real-time using LTE-M (4G) or Bluetooth to the secure cloud server, where our proprietary analytics system uses AI and machine learning algorithms to analyze and generate actionable insights. This data can then be accessed through a physician portal, allowing for timely intervention to COVID-19 infected and/or suspected patients. Hospitals and public health systems can deploy our solution for surveillance of patients, identification of high-risk individuals with potential symptoms of COVID-19, effectively triage individuals to identify people most urgently in the need for care.

How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
Currently, clinical trials and clinical care for COVID-19 are limited to hospitals and traditional healthcare facilities. With an increase in infection and a shortage of healthcare professionals to tackle/manage this pandemic, it is essential to deliver high-quality patient-centered care within the comfort of one’s home. Patients with chronic conditions, complicated by COVID-19, face worse health outcomes, have higher hospital readmission rates. This means that such patients will require more complex, comprehensive, and regular care in order to maintain or improve their health. Telehealth and remote monitoring are exceptionally advantageous in the current situation considering the need to prevent overcrowding at healthcare facilities. Currently, a digital thermometer is often used as a sole predictor of infection or disease status with low sensitivity. But, COVID-19 detection and management need additional digital biomarkers that are currently undetected or under-utilized for which our device could be extremely valuable. The FDA recently issued guidance to help expand the availability of non-invasive remote monitoring devices to facilitate patient monitoring while reducing patient and healthcare provider contact and exposure to COVID-19. While the guidelines mention disparate device types such as ECG, cardiac monitor, Pulse Oximetry (SpO2), Non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP), and respiratory rate (RR), MouthLab integrates all these capabilities in a single, hand-held tool.
