How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our team has reprioritized our work to promote methods to slow the spread of the virus. Working in over 1,300 rural communities, our team is properly positioned to share best practices on hygiene education and new developments from the WHO regarding the transmission of the coronavirus. Following interim guidance released from the WHO regarding the transmission of the coronavirus through untreated drinking water, our team has seen unprecedented demand for our community drinking water treatment solutions, and chlorine tablet sales.
Does your business contribute most to recovery, response, or resilience?
Response - we're responding directly to issues caused or exacerbated by the COVID-19 outbreak.
What is the stage of your product development?
I have a market ready product/service. I have sold to customers.
What strengths does your team bring? Include skills and personal experience with the problem.
Our team consists of engineers and business leaders living in Nicaragua, Honduras, and the US. We have successfully completed the process of two acquisitions, one of which lead to our expansion into Honduras. Our co-founder, Alvaro Rodriguez, started EOS with the US engineer, Wes Meier, after growing Nicaragua's most successful solar energy company, netting the largest branch revenue. The decade's long experience promoting water quality technology solutions to rural communities has elevated EOS International to be the leading Central American influencer in providing safe drinking water solutions.
What countries do you operate in?
Nicaragua and Honduras, with an administrative office in the US.
Is your company headquartered in a US "Opportunity Zone"?
