How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
1. Sensitization Campaign, remote COVID-19 testing and Data collation:A remote call centre to contact small holder rural farmers in hard to reach communities through calls sensitizing them on how severe the COVID-19 pandemic and preventive measures in local dialects as most of these farmers and rural dwellers neither speaks nor understands English or have access to the internet and electricity. Remote COVID-19 testing will also be conducted at the same time by asking specific symptom check questions. The data from these questions will be collated and transferred to the appropriate authority for immediate action.2. Farm Input and service distribution:1) Direct access to resources such as training on modern farm practices/proper application methods to reduce cost of production, improved quality seeds, fertilizers and agrochemicals on credit at prevailing market price and at 0% interest rate to increase production capacity by 100% and an average of 80% increase in yield and income 2) Direct access to online market linkage provides immediate solution to increased yield and drastically reduces post harvest loss, empowering these farmers to sell their harvested produce when they want to, at prevailing market price and without the risk of spoilage or having to sell at below the cost price. This increases food production to help mitigate the projected 2021 famine and increase the farmers income to boost their livelihood within their communities.
