How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
University faculty had difficulties abruptly switching to remote examinations due to COVID-19. In response, GradeHub-Online enables instructors to quickly convert a paper multiple-choice exam (grade with scantrons) to an online test in their existing learning management system - literally in seconds. With GradeHub-Online, teachers won't need to compromise the validity and reliability of exams due to changes to the delivery of instruction due to the coronavirus.
Does your business contribute most to recovery, response, or resilience?
Response - we're responding directly to issues caused or exacerbated by the COVID-19 outbreak.
What is the stage of your product development?
I have a market ready product/service. I have sold to customers.
What strengths does your team bring? Include skills and personal experience with the problem.
Our company was started by Mark Espinola, a former division president of Scantron™, you know, the company making all those bubble answer sheets used on most campuses for midterms and finals. Mark and his co-founder, Dario Traverso, realized it was time for something better than scantrons. That’s when the wheels started turning. So, our team built an easy tool for instructors to administer, score, and analyze paper answer sheets using a modern, cloud-based approach. We’ve painstakingly focused on simplicity, convenience, and minimizing faculty disruption all while radically modernizing the technology to grade scantrons. With GradeHub-Online, we're helping universities solve the problem with assessing students for midterms and finals caused when COVID-19 abruptly moved classes to remote instruction.
