Green Action One is a social enterprise which is distribute Proven Clean Energy Solar technologies using pay as you go model to rural hospitals, schools to help them cop up with corona virus services delivery as 98 % of Malawi rural hospitals and schools are not grid connected. It also helps teachers to have enough power for preparation of lessons and online guidance to students using recent online platform the government has released to help keep students studies at Home. Rural home mainly those who hoist students are at priority to bridge energy gap and increase their time of study as they will be able to charge phone and access lessons.

How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
We provide solar systems to give power in rural healthy centers with an aim to improve healthy services delivery. We provide solar to teachers in rural areas with an aim to help teachers prepare lessons and guide students online using the government online platform which has been developed due to corona virus effect. To support home who have hoist students with clean energy technologies with an aim of powering phones which is used to access online lesson. To power houses with an aim of increasing study hours of students.

Green Action One works with partners Solar Aid a UK registered Organisation. In Malawi in this project it work with trade name called Sunny Money. We recruit headteachers through Ministry of education as distribution Agents in their school and communities. These Headteacher are paid on commission basis based on number of products distributed. We recruits hospital accountant as distribution agent to make sure that officers and the hospital has access to solar products and systems and repayment is done easily. We also recruits areas agents who works on community market, create awareness and build capacity on user side of the technologies. The team is composed of Engineers as the Managing Director is a Renewable Energy Engineer, Accountant, Monitoring and evaluation officer, Marketing lead officer, Area agents and distribution agents. Sunny Money helps in creating demand, raising awareness, importing of high quality products, Transporting products to nearby centers for distribution.
