There are 4 million children in the vulnerable 0 to 5 years group living in poverty-stricken informal settlements in South Africa, while globally, roughly 663 million children lack necessities as basic as nutrition, clean water or have basic Hygiene practices taught to themThese vulnerable children are are unsupported are ideal victims for COVUD 19OURSOLUTION.Our African Hygiene & Life -Skills Classroom on Wheels is an innovative solar-powered, modular teaching space that transforms any area into a classroom for teaching/learning Hygiene practices Created in a collaboration with an expert team,the unit focusses on vulnerable African children living in informal settlements where space and resources are huge challenges.Highly mobile ,the unit is a compact space saver when folded and stored but when opened it reveals resources and teaching aids to teach these children basic health and hygiene practices but also to combat the spread of Corona and other viruses through communicating good health behaviours, In addition, there are other resources that focus on good personal hygiene and educate children about the importance of oral hygiene, nail hygiene, hand and foot hygiene, toileting hygiene, coughing and sneezing hygiene, hair hygiene,A small solar panel charges a PC Tablet that has quality Digital ECD and Hygiene Curriculums especially adapted for these vulnerable children. Good health and hygiene practices go hand-in-hand ,habits that can last throughout their lives.

We have alredy had good success with our ECD Classroom on Wheels , an early learning tool ECD centres in Townships and informal settlements -Seed Winner : SAB Foundation Social Innovation Awards 2018 + Finalist - SA Edu- Week Awards 2017hile our ECD Team comprised of some of the best ECD practitioners and specialists in the country , our Hygiene Classroom on Wheels comprised of : 2 X Health professionals and Hygiene practitioners1 X Social Worker1 X Criminologist/SAPOur ECD Classroom on Wheels has seen us gain first-hand experience and knowledge of the challenges that children growing up in informal settlements face daily.Water, Sanitation, and overall Hygiene education are severely lacking in informal settlements.Young children are neglected and left to their own devices during the day ,as parents leave for work or find food/Some parents are drug-addicts and rather buy drugs before they buy food.Every morning,these ‘’parents ‘’ leave for the industrial areas to forage in waste-bins for scrap metal or anything to feed their drug habits , leaving their young children to fend for themselves.With informal settlements home to criminals and vicious sex offenders and these children are easily influenced.These vulnerable children experience trauma and are the perfect victims for viruses like Corona and other viruses that can easily be avoided through good hygiene practices.So far ,we have distributed over 60 of our ECD Units to desperately poor early learning centres
