A key 2020 mission for our company is to free waste handlers from infection by introducing advanced densification as a solution to encase contaminated COVID-19 (C-19) materials. Our method conveys sealed C-19 bags of waste automatically into a High Shear Shredding process. The contaminated shredded C-19 materials are then kept isolated in a contained Silo. The final step is to fully encase the shredded PPE materials with IHB catalytic agent using a continuous production method like Briquetting. The extreme high temperature and compaction forces during Briquetting infuse the activated IHB formula into the fibers of C-19 waste. After a cooling step, high value encased solid C-19 Biofuels are created. A continuous Briquetting system that uses the IHB catalytic agent efficiently densifies at a steady 600 kilogram / hour rate of production.IHB enhanced C-19 biofuels: ❶ produce a bonus 480°C incineration temperature within each Wt-% applied. ❷ eliminate biodegradation. ❸ destroy ~75% of dangerous inhalable particulate matter. ❹ eliminate corrosive “clinkers” and the adherence of trace metals.Waste Facilities who actively contract medical waste services consider Densification an exceptionally safe - high value approach to encase contaminated COVID-19 waste and significantly reduce labor infections.!
