How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
We are reinventing what workforce up-skilling and economic advancement looks like for the massive but underserved U.S. infrastructure sector. The recent COVID-19 crisis has highlighted the criticality of the infrastructure workforce and has created the urgent need for tailored education solutions. Infrastructure organizations need immediate training solutions that help workers address the current realities of COVID-19 and make their organizations more resilient to stay “up and running.” For example, electric utilities have transitioned tens of thousands of their employees to home-based roles in a manner of weeks. Major electric utilities such as National Grid are sequestering their critical employees and housing them on company premises. Our work with employers to date has shown the urgent need for solutions regarding best practices for working remotely across a variety of technical jobs, managing stress, working effectively in times of crisis, communicating across organizations, and countering disinformation. Further, very few organizations are collecting learner data to identify what works and how to tailor subsequent training responses (i.e. what delivery, content, and assessment works best to reach an extremely busy and stressed front line worker workforce), let alone helping employers understand if their workforce is prepared for COVID-19 response.
