How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
Our main focus at the moment is the development of our low cost, super scalable respirator / ventilator device. This device has been developed using our more than 20 years of product development experience in Africa to create a product design that caters exclusively for the constraints found when developing and manufacturing products in emerging market spaces. We are currently engaged with our local government resources as well as international partners for countries such as Nigeria, Zambia, Tanzania, Botswana and the DRC.Once we are through our current beta testing and have completed our next build round we will start formalising the commercial offer to parties. We have developed the product so that it can be manufactured using various supply types for the the critical items like motors and sensors and the design is such that it is easy to manufacture with very limited requirements for special equipment. The product can also be supplied in a kit format so that in-country manufacturing customers are able to put the product together and keep the required medical equipment standards intact. The product adheres the to the FDA emergency respirator specifications and will also adhere to the FDA emergency ventilator specifications. The product will be launched initially as a respirator device and once the mechanics have been field tested, will be software updated to provide emergency ventilator functionality.
