How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
One of the very visible impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria is the disruption of food supply chains following the lockdown, leading to an almost 178% increase in prices of essential food commodities as a result of a disconnect between farmers and consumers. We developed deliveryzz.net, a food supply system that brings together producers, logistics providers, and end-users, making it possible for people, especially urban dwellers to easily access food and essential items affordably. The system enables consumers to select, pay for and track the delivery of their needed food items, and get it delivered to their houses; never having to run out of food items or endanger their lives by having to go through the hassle of looking for food. At the same time, it enables smallholder farms not to lose their produce to post-harvest losses while helping to put the staff of logistics providers back to work.
