How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
For the last ten years Portal Properties has provided innovation in housing focusing on poverty transition. Portal Properties has successfully run a program in it's housing for gap families called Homeownership For Gap Families in collaboration with Coastal Enterprises, Inc. To respond and assist with the economic disaster of the coronavirus, Portal Properties is willing to adapt it's program of poverty transition to focus on individuals that want to be trained in having their own farmers market stands. This will contribute with not only job creation, but provide housing for those at risk of losing theirs and supplying locally grown food to their communities.

For three years I owned and operated my own farmers market stand called Bread and Roses at Viles Arboretum. It was highly successful. I grew my own produce as well as harvesting strawberries from a local grower to sell. I also had my kitchen licensed and developed a market for cookies called Orange Oaties. My professional background is accounting and finance which has been invaluable in securing financing for Portal Properties.
