How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
Remote learning is challenging the resilience of parents as they balance supporting the remote learning of their child with their responsibilities in the workforce or navigating unemployment.RavenSearch services will support parents by mitigating the parents’ frustration; increasing their time for adult responsibilities; and reassuring parents about the progress of their children’s education.RavenSearch Services will accomplish this by connecting with the child’s teachers to address the confusion of the parent; developing customized strategies for using limited technological resources; and creating a conversation about their child’s progress in the context of Maine’s Guiding Principles and preparation for adulthood. In my experience, a 15-minute conversation with the teacher solves the parent’s initial problem. During a second conversation, the parent takes a more active role in problem-solving. A third conversation is usually between the parent and another parent, a real-life example of peer to peer learning. After all, it is the teacher’s goal to become progressively redundant.I’ve done this for years in my role as a classroom teacher, helping students, parents, and teachers solve problems they have in using technology as well as balancing individual circumstances and challenging schedules.
