How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
To mitigate the risk of COVID-19 infections, SafeBoda has rolled-out a training program for our drivers to raise awareness about the best practices from the Ministry of Health in Uganda, trained our drivers on hygienic transportation and delivery and provided face masks and sanitizers. We also launched COVID-19 awareness campaigns targetting our passengers on SNS and on our Application, telling them what to do, what not to do. In addition, we have launched the food and grocery delivery services and expanded our vendor network (including local street and market vendors), which has growth potential even under the curfew or lockdown to sustain businesses for both our vendors and our drivers. Also, SafeBoda works closely with the government to support shaping up their regulations to mitigate the economic impact while fighting COVID-19. SafeBoda is a part of the COVID-19 task-force with the government of Uganda, leading the sub-committee on transport and logistics, and working directly with the Ministry of Health.
