How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
The University of Tennessee, Department of Emergency Medicine conducted a 47 provider investigator-initiated crossover study on SafeBVM's device. The aim was to evaluate the efficacy of prolonged manual ventilation w/without the Bag Valve Mask (BVM) in case there is an increased demand and shortage of ventilators. The results showed that SafeBVM's device brought the performance with BVM closer to ventilators' performance in comparison with the BVM alone, making manual ventilation much safer. The device showed efficacy and safety in controlling pressure and tidal volume being delivered to the patient.
