About
As economies across the world transition to digital societies, the need for a global standard for digital identity is not in doubt; Covid-19 has made this even more urgent. For these globalised, digital economies to enjoy the many opportunities and benefits that frictionless digital services can provide, they need to be fully integrated across borders. Sedicii is a global identity network that enables real-time identity updates from trusted identity providers (governments, banks, telco’s, utilities), ensuring that businesses can react quickly to new information. It is also designed to provide the highest possible levels of privacy; data is never exchanged or copied but is instead always verified using an advanced form of cryptography, known as zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs).

How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
Prior to being tested a member of the public has no means of identifying when they have been or are exposing themselves to potential risk of infection. We want to make citizens and residents aware of the potential risk of Covid-19 infection through their movements or when taking a journey. As people are the primary means of transmission, we need to be able to identify if an infected person in the community may have come into close contact with any other person. However, this needs to be done in a secure and privacy preserving way. We do this by using a mobile phone as a proxy for a person, as its movements will directly correlate to the movements of its owner. The outcome is that the citizen gets a Red, Amber or Green indicator (or risk score) of their risk of infection, which can then cue them for testing as required. This:•Gets people at greatest risk of infection into testing as fast as possible. It sets the priority for testing;•Ensures that testing facilities detect more infected people faster; which,•Makes the best use of testing facilities and test kits;•Slows the spread of Covid-19 and reduces the death rate.Note that Covidra is working separately with health organisations in order to inform automatically the priority for testing of individuals at risk, and to feed into the logistics for ordering test kits.
