How is your business helping to solve the health, social, or economic challenges created by COVID19?
With unemployment rising and the vulnerable absorbing the greatest impact, we can provide a reliable income to parents who are earning less than $2 a day in Nicaragua. Our micro-franchise also serves the community by providing access to affordable, nutritious food to low-income neighborhoods when many restaurants are closed and travel into the denser city markets is higher risk.
Does your business contribute most to recovery, response, or resilience?
Response - we're responding directly to issues caused or exacerbated by the COVID-19 outbreak.
What is the stage of your product development?
I have a market ready product/service. I have sold to customers.
What strengths does your team bring? Include skills and personal experience with the problem.
Our CEO and Founder, Beth Meadows, brings a career full of franchising experience - including a travel franchise with 250 locations which she sold to American Express. She also has a heart for single moms, having walked that road herself. Her experience combined with the cultural understanding and strategic leadership of Claudia Lopez, our Nicaragua Country Director, make for a powerful team that can serve parents in need.
What countries do you operate in?
Nicaragua
Is your company headquartered in a US "Opportunity Zone"?
