Ujama provides commerce tools for people with side-hustles and micro-businesses, making it easy for them to find and transact with customers (including payment processing).Before the pandemic, almost 40% of US adults had some form of informal income. This number is much higher with more people unemployed and looking for ways to make ends meet. Ujama is provide simple and free tools to power side-hustles.

Hugh Molotsi, Ujama's founder, is a 22-year veteran of Intuit, where he helped start many businesses, including Intuit Payments, for which he was awarded the Intuit Founders Innovation Award in 2011. He had deep expertise in innovation and extensive experience solving the needs of small businesses. He's also technical and Ujama's primary developer.We are working closely with the Mamahood, a group of 30K professional moms in the Bay Area who are providing Ujama access to customers and rapid feedback to our platform.
